Cancellation of Cake Decorating Classes
Until further notice our cake decorating classes will be put on hold. Those who have signed up for March will get first dibs on a spot for our next class whenever we decide it's wise to begin offering them again. We're praying blessings and good health for all our friends of Quaker Cove.
The next cake will be Vanilla or Chocolate cake with watercolor effect and fondant cherry blossoms
(add $20 if you'd like to bring a friend to help with your cake!)
Join us for a 3-hour, hands-on, beginner friendly, cake decorating class. In March we will learn how to decorate a vanilla/chocolate 3 layer cake with a buttercream watercolor effect and how to make fondant cherry blossoms and leaves and attach them to the cake. Students will also learn insider tips and tricks from Baker and Cake Decorator Extraordinaire, Liz Seume. Beginners age 16 and over are welcome. Gluten free/vegan are also be available, so please ask!
All equipment and materials will be provided. Just bring your own apron (if preferred) and a box or cake carrier to pack your creation home. Each student takes home a lovely 8" cake! Students may bring a second person (to help decorate their cake) for an additional cost of $20. A parent may bring a child under the age of 16 as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Quaker Cove provides the cake layers, and students will learn to make buttercream to stack and frost the cake with. We will be using store bought fondant and teaching students how to make the design pictured! Students will receive recipes for the cake and frosting.
We will offer a class with a new decorating technique each month so stay tuned for April's cake.
*Please note* We will not be making the cake pictured above. However Liz is happy to take requests.
