Aly serves as Quaker Cove's first Office Manager. She can help you with bookings, donations, registration for events, and anything to do with Day Camp. Aly came to Quaker Cove after three summers at Camp Tilikum in Newberg, OR where she learned the importance of adventure and discovered a passion for camp ministry. She also raises funds in order to work at the Cove and appreciates any prayerful or financial support. She'll be at Quaker Cove until April 2021 when she and her husband will move to Texas as newlyweds.
Aly is in the office part time on Mondays and Thursdays. She is best reached by emailing
Karl and Liz Seume
Camp Directors - Karl and Liz are our first full-time staff! Before they came to Quaker Cove in July 2016, they spent 7 years in Germany, where Karl worked as a gourmet chef and Liz worked as an English teacher. They have 5 kids who are also a full-time job. Pictured LtoR: Matthew (3), Gabriel (4), James (7), Benny (5), and Amelie (8)
Karl developed a food service program for the camp while improving buildings and maintaining the camp grounds and facilities. Liz establishes new programs, like our Gingerbread House Party and Kids' Culinary Classes, and spreads the word about Quaker Cove. Liz and Karl are fundraising their entire salary to be able to work at QC, so if you are interested in donating we would love to have you partner with us! Click here for more information on how to donate, or click here to read our Q&A interview, in a past newsletter, with the Seumes and find out more about their decision to come to Quaker Cove!
Since the camp was unable to host any regular programs for 2020, the Seumes choose to go on furlough until the beginning of the next summer season. They will still be available to answer any questions, though their response time bay me slower than normal.
